This 4"x 8" tile comes from the Avery Coonley Playhouse in Riverside Illinois in which he commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design. The house was a school intended to educate neighborhood children in the Froebel kindergarten method. Wright themed his extensive use of art glass in the Playhouse to appeal to the children. This decorative tile is an adaptation of one of the schools many art glass windows.
